Grantham introduces a third team to the Nottinghamshire League

Grantham has entered a third team into the Nottinghamshire League in the fourth division. Club members took the decision as there was a sufficient number of players to enter another team. The team will be captained by long-standing member Chris Cumbers, The club would like to thank the League Management Committee of the Notts League for allowing the team to enter after the official start of the season. We are looking forward to having three successful teams this season giving members at all levels access to competitive chess.

Lincolnshire Chess Association Jamboree

The Lincolnshire Chess Association Jamboree will be taking place on the afternoon of Sunday 20th of September. Details can be found here.

Grantham Chess Club is open after Summer Break

The club has now reopened ready to resume battle in the Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire leagues and for casual chess players alike on Wednesday evenings.

This season should prove to be interesting after the club's excellent clean sweep in competitions; winning the Notts League 1 and 2 and Lincs League Div 2 South in 2014-2015. 

All players are welcome at the club.

Summer Closure 2015

Following this evening's club Annual General Meeting (1st of July 2015), the club will reopen on Wednesday 26th of August 2015 following our usual summer break.
